The E-4 "Nightwatch" is nicknamed the "Doomsday Plane". It's designed to survive a nuclear blast. In the event of nuclear-war, the militarized Boeing 747 will become the command center for the US President, Secretary of Defense and the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The E-4 was also capable of operating the "Looking Glass" missions of the Strategic Air Command (SAC).
