Lockheed Martin pushes F-16 sale to India | Jane’s 360
Lockheed Martin is confident its proposal to build F-16 fighter aircraft in India will find favour in the Trump administration despite the US president’s emphasis on keeping jobs in the United States.
A Lockheed Martin spokesperson told Jane’s on 28 June that the proposal to manufacture the F-16 in India will be “win-win” programme for both the United States and India.
The programme was the subject of discussion three days earlier in a meeting between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is visiting the United States, and Lockheed Martin’s president Marillyn Hewson.
